Why lamella moisture is held at 8%–12%

After edge gluing and pressing, any change in moisture shows up as cracking or cupping in the finished part.

Usual range

Indoor furniture parts are normally held at 8%–12%. Heated northern climates call for the lower end, humid southern ones the upper end.

Inspection

Measure top, middle and bottom of each stack, average the readings and keep the record.
